Stephanie Watson serves as the Offshore Wind Program Manager in the Maine Governor's Energy Office, overseeing initiatives to procure 3 GW of offshore wind energy by 2040 and managing a $12 million collaborative research program. With extensive experience as an Independent Consultant in energy and environment, Stephanie tackled complex challenges related to policy and science, including directing stakeholder engagements for the NOAA/Gulf of Mexico Restoration and leading an economic development plan for the Baton Rouge Area Foundation. Previous roles included Associate Director for the MS RESTORE Act Center of Excellence at The University of Southern Mississippi and Program Manager for the CeNCOOS at MBARI, where Stephanie developed funding strategies and fostered partnerships. Educational qualifications include multiple degrees from Yale University and the University of Maine, focusing on Spatial Information Science, Ecology, and Environmental Sciences, along with a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from Louisiana State University.
