Darlena Egolum

Deputy Chief Of Congregate Care at State of Maryland

Darlena Egolum, MPH RMT has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Darlena currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Congregate Care at the State of Maryland, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they were the Congregate Care Administrator at the same organization from October 2021 to January 2023.

Before joining the State of Maryland, Darlena worked as a Holistic Sexologist at Mevlana Vision, LLC starting in September 2020. Darlena also served as the Manager of Consulting Services at the State of Connecticut from October 2020 to May 2021.

Darlena's earlier experiences include serving as a Clinical Case Manager at Gilead Community Services, Inc. from October 2011 to September 2020, where they demonstrated competency in severe and prolonged mental health and substance abuse disorders. Darlena also worked as a Program Manager at the Center for Human Development (CHD) from July 2008 to September 2012, where they coordinated the mental and physical health of clients.

Additionally, Darlena has experience as a Vocational Facilitator at The Kennedy Center Inc. from August 2007 to May 2008, providing direct care to individuals with Acquired Brain Injury and/or physical disabilities, promoting community integration and implementing service plans.

Darlena Egolum, MPH RMT completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration at St. John's University from 2004 to 2007. Darlena then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Public Health from Southern Connecticut State University between 2008 and 2011.
