Sophie Bergmann

Sophie Bergmann currently serves as the Deputy Chief Performance Officer and Policy Advisor in the Office of the Governor for the State of Maryland since February 2023. Prior to this, Sophie held multiple roles at Results for America from March 2017 to February 2023, including Senior Manager of Solutions, focusing on leveraging evidence and data to enhance government decision-making. Additional experience includes positions at the U.S. Department of Education, where Sophie served as a policy intern and Confidential Assistant, and various internships in education policy and editorial work. Sophie earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2016.
