Born in Newark, New Jersey, Lisa Almeida has dedicated their career to public service. After graduating from Fordham Law School, they worked as an attorney advisor for the US Department of Labor. In 2006, they joined the New Jersey Attorney General's Office, where they served as a deputy attorney general for ten years. In 2016, they were appointed assistant counsel to the Governor of New Jersey, a position they held for two years. Lisa currently serves as deputy chief counsel at the State of New Jersey. Throughout their career, Lisa has been a committed advocate for justice and a strong voice for the people of New Jersey.
Lisa Almeida has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Sociology and Criminology from the University of Utah, an Associate of Science (AS) in Sociology from Snow College, and a law degree from Widener University School of Law.
