Kali Thorne Ladd

Kali Thorne Ladd serves as the Chief Executive Officer at the Children's Institute since September 2021 and is currently a board member for both the Oregon Health and Education Collaborative and the James F. and Marion L. Miller Foundation. As a co-founder and board member of TASTE for Equity and an Early Learning Council Member for the State of Oregon, Kali is deeply involved in initiatives focused on education and community development. Previously, Kali was the Executive Director and co-founder of KairosPDX from 2013 to September 2021, where strategic vision and fundraising were emphasized. Additional experience includes leadership roles such as Chair of the Board of Directors at Portland Community College and Education Strategies Director in the Office of the Mayor. Kali holds a Master's degree in Education Policy and Management from Harvard University and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from Boston College.
