Marc Abrams

Marc Abrams serves as the Assistant Attorney-in-Charge at the State of Oregon Department of Justice since October 2002, focusing on employment litigation within the Civil Litigation Section. With experience as a Senior Assistant Attorney General and Chair of the Civil Rights Section at the Oregon State Bar from January to December 2017, Marc has played a crucial role in promoting diversity and civil rights law. Other notable positions include serving as a board member for Portland Public Schools and the Multnomah Education Service District, as well as leading the Democratic Party of Oregon. Marc's legal career began in private practice, specializing in employment and complex commercial litigation, and includes a tenure as the Executive Director and General Counsel for the Student Press Law Center. Educational credentials include a JD from the University of Michigan Law School and an MA in Journalism from the University of Michigan.
