Sarah Burwell

Sarah Burwell is an experienced professional in advocacy and community service, currently serving as Ombuds at the Governor's Advocacy Office and the Office of the Children's Advocates for the State of Oregon since May 2021. In addition, Sarah has held the position of Director of Community Advocacy at the Domestic Violence Resource Center since July 2014. Previous roles include work with the Oregon Department of Human Services in Child Welfare from April 2018 to May 2021, and as a Residential Counselor at Luke Dorf from March 2013 to October 2014. Earlier experience also includes serving as Vocational Program Manager at Alternative Services of Oregon from February 2010 to January 2012. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology from Portland State University and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Public Administration at Arkansas State University.
