Cotty Fay is an experienced naval architect and engineer with a robust background in vessel design and propulsion systems. Currently serving as the Chief Naval Architect and Manager of Vessel Design at Washington State Ferries since August 2009, Cotty Fay oversees the technical modifications and maintenance of a fleet of 23 car ferries. As a consultant at Cotty Fay Marine Design Inc since May 2009, engineering and naval architectural expertise is provided, focusing on custom propeller design and propulsion system integration. Previous roles include Chief Naval Architect at Brunswick Boat Group from 2002 to 2009 and Technical Director at Teignbridge Propellers from 1998 to 2005. Cotty Fay holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan.
