Lisa Johnson

Lisa Johnson has extensive experience in education and arts management, currently serving as the Events Program Coordinator for the State of Washington since December 2016. Prior to this role, Lisa held various positions including Nominator at Theatre Puget Sound, Community Engagement and Education at KCTS 9 Television, and Development Director at ArtsWest Playhouse and Gallery, where significant fundraising achievements were made. Lisa also contributed to the arts as the President and Artistic Director of Open Door Theatre, focusing on strategic fundraising and community outreach through theatrical productions that address critical social issues. Earlier career roles included teaching performing arts and music at various educational institutions, advocating for at-risk students and integrating arts into therapy and educational programs. Lisa earned a degree from Coe College from 1989 to 1993.
