Tim Valencia

Tim Valencia, CEBS, MBA, currently serves as the Deputy Director at the State of Washington - Law Enforcement Officers' & Fire Fighters' Plan 2 Retirement Board, overseeing essential administrative operations such as policy development, human resources, financial management, and strategic planning since May 2004. Valencia has held multiple leadership roles within the Pacific NW Chapter of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists, serving as President from January 2014 to December 2014, Past President from January 2015 to December 2016, and currently as Sr. Research & Policy Manager since January 2017. Previous experience includes various positions within the WA Department of Retirement Systems from 1994 to 2004, such as Legislative Liaison and Retirement Benefit Specialist. Academic credentials include an MBA in Business, Technology, and Innovation from Pacific Lutheran University and a BA in Business Marketing from the UW Foster School of Business.
