Nora Roughen-Schmidt

Nora Roughen-Schmidt is a seasoned business consultant and leader with extensive experience in economic and community development. Currently, Nora works as a Business Consultant for the Universities of Wisconsin Office of Business & Entrepreneurship and serves on the Governor's Council on Workforce Investment for the State of Wisconsin. Previously, Nora held the role of Executive Director at StartingBlock Madison, Inc., overseeing a major entrepreneurial hub, and at Viroqua Chamber Main Street, where efforts focused on enhancing the business climate and tourism strategies. Additionally, Nora operated a consulting business, providing tailored solutions for entrepreneurs and promoting diversity. With a background in marketing spanning multiple organizations and a solid educational foundation in Communications and Project Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Nora brings a comprehensive skill set to strategic planning and community engagement initiatives.
