Chris Ransom

Chris Ransom has extensive work experience in finance and planning roles. Chris is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Alabama Port Authority since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Financial Planning Manager at Kinder Morgan, Inc. from 2017 to 2023. Chris also served as the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Mspark from 2016 to 2017 and as the Director - Finance, Planning & Analysis at J&M Tank Lines from 2014 to 2016. Before that, they held positions such as Vice President of Planning, Analysis and Corporate Development and Director of Planning at Education Corporation of America from 2008 to 2014. Chris has also worked as a Controller at Virginia College Online from 2006 to 2008 and as a Regional Controller at HealthSouth from 1997 to 2006.

Chris Ransom obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Birmingham-Southern College, where they studied from 1993 to 1997.
