Heather Neese

Heather Neese, SPHR has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Heather currently holds the position of Human Resources Director at the Alabama Port Authority since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of People & Talent at Lynton from March 2022 to March 2023. From March 2017 to March 2022, Heather served as the Human Resources Director at IMS Consulting & Expert Services, where they collaborated with influential attorneys and firms to provide litigation support. Heather also worked as the Corporate Director of Human Resources at Hangout Hospitality Group from May 2016 to March 2017. Before their role at Hangout Hospitality Group, Heather worked as an Assistant HR Manager at the Alabama State Port Authority from December 2013 to April 2016 and as a Senior HR Generalist at HRI Properties from April 2013 to November 2013. Prior to that, they served as a Personnel Analyst with the State of Alabama from November 2007 to April 2013 and as a Legal Research Assistant from May 2005 to October 2007. Heather's early career included working as a Paralegal at Rushton, Stakely, Johnston & Garrett from September 2003 to May 2005.

Heather Neese, SPHR, received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Organizational Communication, General from Huntingdon College in 2003. In 2009, they completed their Masters of Science in Human Resource Management from Troy University in Montgomery. Recently, Heather obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute in 2017.
