Amit Vaid

Amit Vaid is a seasoned professional in data science and artificial intelligence, currently serving as Vice President-II and Head of Data Science for the Artificial Intelligence Group at State Street since June 2021. Prior to this, Amit held the position of Senior Principal Data Scientist at Oracle, focusing on AI solutions for IoT applications from March 2019 to June 2021. Amit's extensive experience at IBM spanned over 14 years, where roles included Senior Data Scientist/Architect in Financial Crimes offering management, contributing to the development of AI solutions for transaction monitoring and fraud prevention. Early career experience includes software engineering at CGI and advisory engineering at IBM Rational Software. Amit holds an Advanced Machine Learning degree from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Visvesvaraya Technological University.
