Dennis Fritchman

EVP, Head of Tax & Tax Advantaged Investments at State Street

Dennis Ross is executive vice president and head of Tax and Tax Advantaged Investments.

Dennis manages State Street’s tax and tax advantaged investment functions globally, providing leadership on all tax-related matters. He also leads a team to develop strategies that support State Street’s business and operating needs worldwide.

Dennis has nearly three decades of industry experience and leadership that spans government, academia and corporate sectors as well as private firm practice. He brings considerable tax expertise both domestically and abroad to State Street, including extensive merger and acquisition experience. Most recently, Dennis served as chief tax officer and general counsel at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan. During his 10-year career at Ford, he led a team of more than 50 tax professionals and 200 attorneys with responsibility for global tax and legal strategy. Prior to Ford, he was a partner specializing in tax at Davis Polk & Wardwell, a leading Wall Street law firm. His impressive career also includes more than five years of experience at the US Treasury Department.

Dennis received his bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School.
