Luke Farber has extensive experience in the legal field, with a focus on regulatory reform in the banking industry. Luke began their career as an Associate at Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe in 1989 before moving on to Shea & Gould in 1993. From 1994 to 1995, they served as Senior Counsel at Societe Generale, specializing in OTC derivatives. Luke then joined Merrill Lynch as Director and Senior Counsel, where they worked from 1995 to 2003. Luke then transitioned to Credit Suisse, serving as Director and Senior Counsel from 2003 to 2005. Luke went on to assume the role of Managing Director and Deputy General Counsel at HSBC from 2005 to 2007 before joining BNP Paribas as Managing Director and Senior Counsel from 2007 to 2009. Luke then spent a significant period at Standard Chartered Bank from 2010 to 2018 as Managing Director and Head of Americas Regulatory Reform, overseeing US regulatory compliance. Currently, Luke is working as the Managing Director and Head of Americas Foreign Exchange Legal at State Street, a position they have held since 2018.
