Robert Waters

Robert Waters has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Robert is currently working as the Managing Director and Head of Cybersecurity / IT Controls Design & Development at State Street since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Citi for a significant part of their career, serving as the Senior Vice President and Group Information Security Officer for Citi Global Markets from 2018 to 2022. Robert also held the position of Vice President of Information Security / Business Continuity from 2006 to 2018, and Vice President of Operational Risk from 2005 to 2006 at Citi. Before joining Citi, they worked as a Senior Management Consultant at The BCI Group from 1999 to 2005. Robert started their career as an Independent Consultant in 1997, specializing in management consulting for a financial institution. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Underwriter and Project Manager at National Consumer Insurance from 1993 to 1996.

Robert Waters earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Political Science from Rutgers University from 1986 to 1990. Robert also obtained a Certified Information Security Manager certification from ISACA in 2014.
