Christopher Albi is an Associate Professor at SUNY New Paltz since August 2012, with a specialization in Latin American and Mexican history. Albi held prestigious fellowships at the Newberry Library, the John Carter Brown Library, and the Lilly Library, focusing on archival research in Colonial Mexico. Prior academic roles include Visiting Assistant Professor at Trinity University and Lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin, teaching courses in Colonial and Modern Latin American history. Before transitioning to academia, Albi gained extensive experience in finance as a Vice President at Merrill Lynch and as an Equity Analyst/Editor at Valores Finamex, where the focus was on Latin American mining and steel sectors. Albi earned a Ph.D. in History from The University of Texas at Austin and a JD from the University of Toronto.
