Karianne Sanden has extensive experience in project and program management, currently holding the position of Project Manager for Statens pensjonskasse since December 2017, where responsibilities include overseeing major development projects within the pension program, with a focus on planning, monitoring, and communication. Prior to this role, Karianne spent nearly two decades at Unit4, serving as Project Manager and Release Manager, managing multiple concurrent development projects and ensuring stakeholder and risk management, while being recognized as a Top Performer in 2016. Karianne has also contributed to process improvement initiatives, including the implementation of agile methodologies and involvement in CMMI certification. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Agder and a diverse educational background from the University of South-Eastern Norway and Oregon State University.

We manage occupational pensions for current and former employees of government institutions, higher education (teachers), research institutions, pharmacies and other organizations connected to the public sector. We are an organization under the Norwegian Department for Employment and Inclusion and our mandate is set by the Norwegian parliament. We manage pensions for around 1.300 organizations and more than 1.1 million current and former employees in the public sector. The SPK scheme is a pay-as-you-go system financed by contributions from employees, employers, and the Norwegian state. We are 500 emloyees, located in Skøyen, Oslo.
