Amanda Hernández

Amanda Hernández is a data reporter for Stateline at States Newsroom, a position held since June 2023. Prior to this role, Amanda served as a data intern at ABC News from May 2022 to May 2023 and as a digital news intern at NBC4 Washington from January 2022 to May 2022. Amanda's experience includes editorial positions at The Diamondback, where Amanda was both the News & DBK en Español editor and a senior staff writer, as well as internships with the National Press Foundation, Capital News Service, Howard Center for Investigative Journalism, USA TODAY, and PublicSource. Amanda holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Information Science from the University of Maryland, completed in 2023.
