Dana Gentry

Dana Gentry is an experienced journalist currently serving as a Senior Reporter at States Newsroom since April 2018. Gentry previously held positions as Communications Director at SEIU Local 1107 from April 2016 to May 2017, and as Executive Producer for Ralston Live at Vegas PBS in March 2015. From August 2012 to January 2015, Gentry worked at KSNV-TV as a News Anchor, Executive Producer, and Investigative Reporter, co-anchoring Vegas Inc and producing Ralston Reports. Prior experience includes roles as Anchor, Executive Producer, and Investigative Reporter at Las Vegas Sun from February 2001 to August 2012, and as Deputy Press Secretary for U.S. Senator Harry Reid from 1987 to 1989. Early career experience includes reporting at KLAS TV from 1983 to 1985. Gentry holds a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, earned in 1981.
