Jackie Llanos

Jackie Llanos is a Policy Reporter at States Newsroom since June 2023, previously serving as Team Lead at the University of Richmond Capital News Service, where responsibilities included Spanish language education coverage and managing daily briefs about the Virginia General Assembly. Prior experience includes roles as an Audience Engagement Producer at Hearst Connecticut Media Group, Production Intern at VPM, and various editorial positions at The Collegian UR, culminating as Editor In Chief. Jackie has also interned at Nashville Public Radio and reported on Virginia's marijuana legislation for The Virginia Mercury. A Bachelor of Arts in Journalism was obtained from the University of Richmond in 2023.
