Nelle Owens Dunlap is a seasoned digital media professional with extensive experience in leading digital strategies and content creation. As the Digital Director at States Newsroom since April 2018, Nelle oversees the development and maintenance of digital news products. Previous roles include serving as the New Media Director for NC Policy Watch & The North Carolina Justice Center, where Nelle managed website design, data visualization, and social media campaigns. Nelle's background in education includes positions as an Adjunct Professor at Appalachian State University and as an Instructional Designer at Youth Digital. Nelle holds a Master of Fine Arts in Community Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Iowa.
