Seth Tupper

Seth Tupper is an experienced journalist currently serving as the Editor-in-chief for South Dakota Searchlight, a platform dedicated to investigative and in-depth reporting on critical issues in South Dakota since August 2022. Prior to this role, Tupper has held various positions, including Supervising Senior Producer and Business and Economics Reporter at South Dakota Public Broadcasting from January 2020 to August 2022, and Enterprise Reporter at Rapid City Journal from August 2014 to December 2019. Tupper's extensive background also includes leadership roles as Publisher and Editor at The Daily Republic, along with contributions to SouthDakota.com in travel writing. Starting a career as an Assistant Editor/City Hall Reporter and Sports Editor, Tupper holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism with a minor in Political Science from South Dakota State University, earned between 1997 and 2001.
