Megan Drake

Megan Drake has a diverse work experience in the library and information science field. Megan is currently the Academic Sales Group Director at Statista, a role they started in February 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Consortia Associate Director at Statista from August 2022 to February 2023.

Before joining Statista, Megan worked at Ex Libris from 2015 to 2022, where they held various roles. Megan started as an Implementation Consultant in September 2015 and was promoted to Senior Implementation Consultant in April 2018. In April 2019, they became the Manager of Consulting Services, and in April 2020, they transitioned to the role of Premium Services Team Lead. As the team lead, Megan was responsible for designing and building a global offering of workflow and training consultation services. Megan also managed a team of premium services consultants who provided consulting and training services to North American customers and collaborated with global partners in other regions.

Prior to Ex Libris, Megan worked as a Systems and Applications Librarian at Pacific University from July 2011 to September 2015. Megan'sresponsibilities included managing systems and applications related to library services.

Earlier in their career, Megan worked at Libraries in Clackamas County as a Systems Librarian, Customization and Coding Architect from May 2008 to July 2011. In this role, they configured and customized library software, worked on improving library OPAC accessibility and usability, wrote custom reports and scripts, and maintained access to subscription databases. Megan also designed and maintained an Intranet for county-wide library staff.

Megan's early work experience includes a role as an Associate Annotator at Butler Hill Group from July 2008 to November 2009, and as an Adult Services Reference Librarian at Cedar Mill Community Public Library from October 2007 to February 2008. In these positions, they provided reference and advisory services to library patrons and assisted with library operations.

Megan Drake obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and History from Whitworth University, attending from 1995 to 1999. Following that, they enrolled at Emporia State University from 2001 to 2007 and completed their Master of Library Science (MLS) degree, specializing in Library Science. Currently, Megan Drake is pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of Wisconsin MBA Consortium, with an expected completion in 2023.
