Joe Curran

Joe Curran received their Ph.D. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, focusing on post-colonial frameworks in early contact studies and Indigenous adaptations to colonial technologies. They have published in notable journals and were honored with the California State University Chancellors Doctoral Fellowship, among other accolades. Curran has served as a Graduate Assistant at UNLV and California State University, Los Angeles, and currently works as a Part-time Instructor at UNLV and holds positions as Project Director at Statistical Research, Inc. and Field Director at Chronicle Heritage. Their extensive field experience includes roles as an Environmental Scientist/Archaeologist and various field technician positions across multiple organizations.
