Moira King, MA, has a diverse professional background with experience spanning multiple sectors, including research, communications, and community relations. Currently serving as a Research Interviewer with Statistics Canada since December 2020, Moira previously held key roles such as Communications Manager at the Government of BC, where strategic advice was provided for the Aboriginal Social-Economic Strategy. Moira’s entrepreneurial experience includes founding Moira King Communications, focusing on HR, sales, and training from 1990 to 1998, and managing sales and service at MKM Music Productions Ltd. Further contributions include serving as Community Relations Manager at Amica At Somerset House and developing a Pastoral Care Training Program for the Diocese of Victoria. Academically, Moira holds a Master of Arts in Professional Communication and Marketing and a Graduate Certificate in Strategic HR Management from Royal Roads University, along with additional certifications in Health Literacy and Communication.
