Joakim Stymne

Joakim Stymne is the current Director General at Statistics Sweden. Joakim has previously held the position of Director General at Statens tjänstepensionsverk from August 2015 to November 2017. From January 2006 to December 2011, they were the State Secretary at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Sweden. Joakim was also the Chief Economist and Head of Strategy and Economics at Kaupthing Bank from January 2004 to December 2006 and at Alfred Berg from January 1995 to December 2003. In addition, they were the Executive Manager at the Swedish Free Enterprise Foundation from January 2003 to December 2004 and the Editor at Initierat Magazine from January 2003 to December 2003.

Joakim Stymne has a Master of Arts (M.A.) from Harvard University in Economics and is a Civilekonom from Stockholm School of Economics in Economics.
