Leon van der Heijden

Leon van der Heijden has an extensive work experience starting from 2004. Their most recent position was as the Head of Business Development - Benelux & Nordics at Stats Perform, which they held from January 2022. Prior to that, they were the Head of Business Development - Netherlands at Stats Perform from July 2019 to January 2022. Before joining Stats Perform, Leon worked at Perform Group as the Head of Business Development - Netherlands from February 2018 to June 2019, and as a Senior Editor (News) - NL from September 2015 to January 2018. Leon also had professional experience at Opta Sports as the Head of Content & Customer Services Netherlands from July 2014 to September 2015, where their responsibilities included delivering live performance data for sports games and providing reliable customer service. Leon started their career as a Dealer at Holland Casino from August 2004 to September 2012, where they created a safe and enjoyable environment for visitors. Additionally, they had an internship at Mensink Capital B.V. where they reviewed the business model of a Dutch tour operator and conducted market research into the film and entertainment industry. Leon also held the position of Board Member at Het Oranje Legioen, a supporters group, from May 2009 to December 2012. Leon completed their graduation project at the University of Twente from April 2011 to July 2012.

Leon van der Heijden obtained their VWO degree from Philips van Horne Scholengemeenschap in 2002. Leon then pursued a Master of Science (MSc / Ir.) in Industrial Engineering & Management at the University of Twente from 2002 to 2012. In 2012, they attended the University of Liverpool and completed a degree in CBA Football Industries, specializing in Sports Management.
