Arturo Medellin

Arturo Medellin is an experienced professional in Lean management, currently serving as the General Manager of STAUFEN.AMERICAS SA de CV since October 2016, where the focus is on developing the Americas branch of Staufen's global operations. Prior to this, Arturo worked as a Senior Consultant at Staufen AG, supporting North American companies in their Lean initiatives from June 2012 to October 2016. As VP for Latin America at Liker Lean Advisors from September 2010 to September 2016, Arturo organized events in Mexico for Dr. Jeff Liker and facilitated Lean journeys for various companies. Arturo also held the position of President for Latin America/Mexico at Basic Lean Inc. from 2005 to 2010, and worked as a Lean Practitioner at Optprise between 2007 and 2009. Earlier experiences include serving as Materials Director at Remy International from 1997 to 2005 and as Materials Manager at Cummins Engine Company from 1987 to 1997, with a progressive career starting as a materials planner. Arturo holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Mechanics and Management from Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí.
