Head Of Data at Stayland

Hector Fernandez is the current Head of Data at Stayland. Prior to this, they were the Head of Data & Analytics at wiseathena.com from September 2017 to December 2021. In this role, they were responsible for transforming raw customer data into meaningful and useful information. Hector also created and managed a new team from scratch with members in Europe and America. Hector was in daily contact with clients to analyze their data needs and receive their feedback (Nestle, British American Tobacco, Reckitt Benckisser, Diageo, Mission, etc...). Hector also built automatic error detection and correction processes for CPG data with over 100,000 checks.

Before wiseathena.com, Hector worked as an IRM Manager at KPMG España from July 2015 to September 2017. In this role, they were responsible for Information Risk Management (IRM) for business processes supported by applications. This included risks analysis, identification of Control Objectives and applications controls definition. Hector also reviewed and tested the IT control environment within the financial audits framework and evaluated the IT environment, reviewed business processes and IT processes. Their clients included BBVA, Bestinver and Luckia.

Hector has a degree from EAE Business School.

Hector Fernandez has a Master in Data Science from U-tad, a Master of Science in Process and System Engineering from Universidad de Valladolid, and a Research Exchange Program from University of Arizona. Hector also has a MEng in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de Valladolid.
