Jude Reed

Jude Reed, MD, FACEP, currently serves as the Emergency Department Medical Director at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital since June 2025 and is also the Medical Director at VITAS Healthcare since August 2024. Previously, Jude held the position of Medical Director at UNITY HOSPICE OF GREATER ST LOUIS LLC from March 2023 to January 2025, emphasizing the importance of clinical empathy in hospice care. From 2017 to 2024, Jude was the Senior VP and Group Chief Medical Officer at SCP Health, overseeing quality and financial operations for multiple Emergency Departments and Urgent Care Centers. Prior experience includes serving as Senior VP and Regional Medical Director at ECI Healthcare from 2011 to 2017, Chief of Staff and Emergency Department Medical Director at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital from 2007 to 2014, and as an Emergency Department Physician at Mercy from 2002 to 2006. Jude Reed holds an MD in Emergency Medicine from UT Southwestern Medical Center and a previous MD in Emergency Medicine from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, as well as a BS in Physiology from the University of Louisiana Monroe.
