Chris Chapman has extensive experience in the machining industry, currently serving as the Director of Machining and Machining Programs Manager at Steel America since April 2007, overseeing production staff and job planning for notable clients including the US Navy, Coast Guard, General Electric Hydro, and Rolls Royce. In addition to this role, Chris is an adjunct instructor in Machine Technology at Tidewater Community College since January 2022. Previously, Chris managed a machine shop at Advex Corporation from August 1991 to April 2007, leading a team of 20 in the fabrication and maintenance of components for clients such as NASA and Northrop Grumman. Chris completed the Advex Apprenticeship Program, earning a Journeymen Machinist degree in Machine Tool Technology, and has a foundation in education from Thomas Nelson Community College and Poquoson High School.
