Pek Hoong Chong

Pek Hoong Chong is an experienced executive in the manufacturing sector, currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at STEELASIA MANUFACTURING CORPORATION since April 2019. Previously, Pek held dual roles as Managing Director at both The Siam Industrial Wire Co., Ltd. and TSN Wires Co., Ltd. between January 2013 and March 2019. Prior experience includes significant leadership positions at NatSteel Holdings Pte Ltd from January 2006 to December 2012, where Pek was the Senior Vice President and Head of the Metallics Conversion Division, overseeing metal recycling and recycled steel manufacturing, as well as serving as Vice President for both Procurement and Operations. Educational credentials include an AIEP from INSEAD, an MBA from the National University of Singapore, and a 1st Class Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, complemented by earlier education at Victoria Junior College and Victoria School (Singapore).
