Barry Schneider

Barry Schneider is the SVP of Flat Roll Steel Group at Steel Dynamics. Barry has held this position since February 2014. Prior to that, they were the Vice President and General Manager of the division engineered steel bars (SBQ) from May 2007 to February 2014. Before that, they were the Manager of Cold Rolling & Coating from January 2003 to May 2007. Barry was also the Hot Strip Mill Manager from January 2000 to January 2003, and the Casting Supervisor from March 1998 to January 2000. Barry started their career at Steel Dynamics as a Plant Mechanical Engineer in October 1996.

Barry Schneider has an Executive Certificate in Technology, Operations and Value Chain Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Barry also has a MSEM in Engineering Management from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and a BSME in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

They work with James S. Anderson - SVP of Steel Fabrication, Miguel Alvarez - SVP of Metals Recycling, and Russ Rinn - EVP of Metals Recycling. Some individuals on their team include William T.
