Michael Stoner

Michael Stoner is an experienced mechanical engineer with a strong background in maintenance and operational improvement projects. Currently serving as a Rolling Mill Mechanical Engineer at Steel Dynamics, Inc. since September 2019, Stoner has previously held roles including Melt/Cast Maintenance Supervisor and Plant Mechanical Engineer. Prior experience includes positions as a Maintenance Engineer at Cummins Inc. and District Representative at Nalco Water. Stoner also worked as a Process Engineer at ArcelorMittal, where responsibilities included managing equipment reliability, leading process improvement projects, and supervising maintenance tasks. Stoner began the engineering career as a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op at Mississippi Lime Company. Stoner holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, obtained in 2014.
