Steve Hughes

Steve Hughes is an accomplished leader in the field of advanced materials and energy solutions with extensive experience in both executive management and technical innovation. Currently serving as President of Hydrogen Systems at Steelhead Composites since September 2020, Steve is focused on establishing the company as a leading provider of modular hydrogen storage solutions. Additionally, Steve holds various board member positions, including with the Colorado Cleantech Industries Association and SteriO3, and is the founder and CEO of SteriO3, which commercializes the Rugged Ozone Sterilization System for military and humanitarian applications. Previous roles encompass vice president positions at Enlighten Innovations and Field Upgrading USA, where Steve advanced solid-state membrane technologies, and significant leadership at Ceramatec, CoorsTek, and C5medical werks, driving growth and strategic development in numerous ventures. Steve holds a PhD in Gel-casting of porous ceramic foams from Loughborough University and a BSc in Materials Chemistry from the University of Nottingham.
