Liang Tong is a Senior Security Machine Learning Researcher at Stellar Cyber since September 2022, focusing on machine learning for threat detection and response as well as leveraging Large Language Models for threat hunting. Prior experience includes a role as a Researcher at NEC Laboratories America, Inc., where work centered on trustworthy machine learning, and a Graduate Research Assistant position at Washington University in St. Louis, awarded the Turner dissertation award for research in deep learning, reinforcement learning, computer vision, and cybersecurity. Liang also completed a research internship at NEC Laboratories America, Inc., specializing in deep learning and face recognition, and served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Vanderbilt University, concentrating on adversarial machine learning and game theory. Liang holds a PhD from Washington University in St. Louis, a Master’s degree from Vanderbilt University, and two degrees in communication engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.
