Layla Soileau

Layla Soileau has extensive experience in user experience (UX) design, research, accessibility advocacy, and inclusive design. Layla is currently working as a Principal Experience Designer at Stellar Elements, where they collaborate with cross-functional teams to create user experiences for clients in various industries. Layla also educates designers and collaborators about accessibility. Prior to this role, Layla worked as the Lead UX Designer, Researcher, and Accessibility Advocate at LaylaUX LLC. Layla has also held positions at H-E-B as the Lead Inclusion and Accessibility Specialist and Senior Experience Designer, Ad Hoc LLC as a Senior UX Designer, Spredfast as a Senior Product Designer, Theresa Neil Strategy + Design as a Principal User Experience Designer, Connectik Technologies as a Senior UX Designer, Oracle as a Senior Interaction Designer, BLiNQ Media as a Senior UX Designer, and Lanyon as an Interaction Designer. Layla's work has focused on creating accessible and inclusive designs, conducting user research, and improving the overall user experience.

Layla Soileau attended Louisiana State University from 1997 to 2005, where they pursued a degree in English with a focus on Writing and Culture. Prior to this, they briefly attended Northwestern State University in 1996. Layla also holds a certification as an IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competency (CPACC) from the IAAP - International Association of Accessibility Professionals, which they obtained in 2023.
