Mike Hughes

Mike Hughes is a Staff Software Engineer with extensive experience in software development across various industries, including telecommunications, medical devices, and visual effects. Currently serving as Technical Lead at Stellar Science Ltd Co since November 2020, Mike has previously held senior roles at AEgis Technologies, Weta Digital, Qualcomm, Obalon Therapeutics, Quantum Design, and SPAWAR Systems Center Pacific, where a diverse range of tools and technologies were employed, including C++, Python, and various development frameworks. Alongside a strong technical background, Mike also has experience in academia, having taught electronic circuits at San Diego City College. Mike holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and another in Computer Science from esteemed institutions, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.
