Vincent Sullivan

VP, Product Development at Stellartech Research

Vince Sullivan has major responsibility for the development of Stellartech’s electronic medical devices from initial concept, through specification, architecture and detailed design, to manufacturing transfer.

Vince brings over 20 years of experience in product development for a wide range of medical applications including solid tumor ablation, X-ray brachytherapy, and treatments for cardiac arrhythmias and urinary incontinence. He has special expertise in RF and microwave energy delivery, high voltage source control, small signal filtering and measurement, and mobile, wireless monitoring of physiologic parameters. In engineering and management positions, he has led prototyping, feasibility testing, and specification development for numerous products, closely supervised their electrical, software, and mechanical / industrial designs, and coordinated their transfer to manufacturing, including verification, safety certification, and approvals from domestic and international agencies.

Prior to joining Stellartech in 1989, Vince held positions at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Goettingen, Germany, where he worked on fluorescence imaging, and at Cardiometrics, Inc, as a developer of hardware and software for Doppler blood flow measurement. He is a named inventor on 5 patents and 2 patent applications. Vince holds a BSEE/CS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley.
