Mark Neff, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the field of biotechnology and genomics. Mark is currently a Co-Founder of Stellate DNA since December 2022. Previously, they served as the Senior Director of Discovery and Commercialization at Embark Veterinary from December 2020 to March 2023. Prior to that, they were the Chief Executive Officer of Stellate DNA in 2020. From 2018 to 2020, they held the position of Head of Business Development at Stellate Biotherapeutics. Before that, they co-founded Virtuize Biosciences in 2017. Mark Neff also worked as a Strategic Advisor at Quintara Biosciences from 2014 to 2017. In addition, they co-founded Brindle in 2014 and served as an Associate Professor at the Van Andel Institute and the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) from 2009 to 2013. Mark began their career as a Postgraduate Researcher at the University of California, Davis in 2002 and later became the Associate Director from 2006 to 2009.

Mark Neff, Ph.D. received their Bachelor's degree in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies from Drake University, where they attended from 1983 to 1987. Mark then pursued further education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Virginia, where they studied from 1987 to 1993. Subsequently, they engaged in postdoctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in Genome Sciences/Genomics, from 1993 to 2000.
