Angus Petersen

Angus Petersen currently serves as the Coordinator for International Engagement at Stellenbosch University, a position held since March 2020, and previously worked as a Logistics and Ensembles Officer. Angus founded Beefy Angus, a mobile food kitchen operating in the Western Cape, in December 2016. Prior experience includes teaching music at Westcott Primary School, serving as a lower brass instrumentalist at Bishops College, and offering brass instrumental teaching at Herschel Girls School. Additionally, Angus has conducted brass teaching initiatives for young learners through the Community Project for Children and has held positions at various educational institutions, such as Beau Soleil Music Center and Bergvliet High School. Angus is a former musician with the South African Defence Force and holds multiple qualifications in music, including a Post Graduate Diploma in Music Performance from the University of Cape Town and a Diploma in Practical Performance from Stellenbosch University.
