Jo Barnes

Jo Barnes is the Executive Director of Jo Barnes Consulting, specializing in water pollution, river contamination, sanitation, community health, urban housing, and disaster management since January 2009. Additionally, Jo serves as a Senior Lecturer and Senior Epidemiologist at the University of Stellenbosch and Stellenbosch University, roles held since February 1988 and January 1988, respectively. Jo Barnes holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Community Health, acquired from Stellenbosch University between 1998 and 2003, and a Masters of Science in Epidemiology, obtained from 1993 to 1995. The academic journey also includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honors in Epidemiology from 1985 to 1986 and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Psychology from 1967 to 1969, all from Stellenbosch University.
