Melissa van der Vyver

Melissa van der Vyver has extensive experience in academic planning and education, currently serving as a Senior Adviser for Academic Planning at Stellenbosch University since May 2014. In this role, Melissa provides strategic support in curriculum development and change management, overseeing the submission of programme documents and name change requests. Prior to this, Melissa held the position of Academic Planning Adviser, focusing on curriculum design and quality assurance. Earlier experience includes teaching History and Social Sciences at Paarl Girls' High School, where responsibilities included acting as Subject Head and Examination Official. Melissa's educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Stellenbosch, a Postgraduate Teacher's Certificate from Stellenbosch University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education from Rhodes University, and ongoing pursuit of a Master of Philosophy in Higher Education Studies at Stellenbosch University.
