Nicola Smit

Nicola Smit currently serves as the Acting Chief Operating Officer and Executive Dean at Stellenbosch University, having joined the Faculty of Law in August 2017. Prior to this role, Nicola held the position of Executive Dean at North-West University from January 2013 to June 2017 and was a Professor of Law at the University of Johannesburg from July 1996 to December 2012, previously known as Rand Afrikaans University. Academically, Nicola holds a Juris Doctor degree in Labour Law from Rand Afrikaans University and a Bachelor's Degree in Law, along with BLC LLB degrees from the University of Pretoria.
