Kristina McBurney

Kristina McBurney is currently a Senior Manager of Scientific Communications at STEMCELL Technologies, a position held since November 2016, where management of scientific communications programs aims to keep scientists informed and engaged in their fields. Previous roles at the University of British Columbia include Manager and Program Manager of Scientific Communications and Marketing, as well as positions as a Sessional Instructor for various courses related to Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems and Molecular Mechanisms of Disease from 2015 to 2019, and Laboratory Technician under Dr. George Mackie in 2008-2009. Kristina holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a B.Sc. in the same field, both from the University of British Columbia.
