Tiago Almeida

Tiago Almeida, PhD, currently serves as a Scientific Storyteller & Writer at Aktiia, where responsibilities include designing scientific rationales around clinical trial data and leading data analysis in collaboration with the Data Science team. Previously, Tiago held roles as an Honorary Research Fellow and Research Associate at the University of Leicester, managing significant research funding and advancing data science in clinical procedures for arrhythmias. Additional experience includes a position as Senior Specialist in Chemical Procurement at Cilag GmbH International, overseeing major procurement operations, and various research and technical roles in esteemed institutions such as the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Tiago’s educational background includes a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Leicester, along with a Master's and Bachelor's degree in related fields.
