Zohreh Sharafian

Zohreh Sharafian, MSc., Ph.D., currently serves as a Scientific Support Specialist in both Cell Culture and Immunology at STEMCELL Technologies since October 2023. Previously, Zohreh held a PhD position at BC Children's Hospital from January 2017 to April 2023, where research projects focused on the molecular landscape of naïve CD4 T cells in neonates and adults, leading initiatives such as the “infant organoids” project. This involved collaboration with clinical experts, designing novel culture systems, and securing research funding. Zohreh's experience also includes roles as a flow cytometry core assistant and corporate affairs liaison with the Student Biotechnology Network and graduate research assistant at Simon Fraser University, contributing to antibiotic development and laboratory courses. Zohreh earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Experimental Medicine with a focus on Immunology from The University of British Columbia and holds Master's degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Simon Fraser University, as well as Biophysics from Tarbiat Modares University.
