James Carmelitano

James Carmelitano has a strong background in quality assurance and operations, with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. James is currently working at Stemline Therapeutics as the Sr. Vice President of Quality Operations since October 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Vice President of Regulatory Compliance and Quality Control at Stemline Therapeutics from May 2018 to October 2021. Before joining Stemline Therapeutics, they worked as the Vice President of Corporate Quality Compliance at AMRI (Albany Molecular Research Inc.) from March 2017 to March 2018. James also held the position of Head of Quality North America - Complex Products, 3P at Mylan from February 2015 to February 2017. James'sprevious experiences include serving as the Vice President of Quality Operations at Sigma-Tau Pharmasource from June 2009 to February 2015, and as the Vice President of Quality Assurance at Norwich Pharmaceuticals from January 2009 to May 2009. Prior to that, they worked at Pfizer Inc. as the Director of Quality Operations from January 2003 to December 2008. James also held the position of Director of Quality Assurance at Luitpold Pharmaceuticals from January 1998 to September 2002. James Carmelitano began their career at Pfizer as a Project Leader in Product & Process Development, and before that, they worked as a Sr. Development Chemist at Organon.

James Carmelitano earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's degree in Industrial Pharmacy from St. John's University. James attended the university from 1975 to 1989.
